What is hydrographics?2022-03-20T21:23:41+00:00

Hydrographics (Also known as Water transfer printing, immersion printing, hydro dipping) is a process of applying a printed design (Film) to a three dimensional surface. The hydrographic process can be used on metal, plastic, glass, hard woods, and various other materials.

Is Hydrographics durable ?2022-03-20T21:23:48+00:00

In short, Yes its very durable.

Hydrogrphics itself is ink transferred to a base paint. What completes and gives your hydrographics its true durability is its top/clear coat.
We use only quality automotive and marine grade clear coats on all our jobs. A completed hydrographics job is durable enough to protect most items from normal wear and tear.  It being a paint product it can still be damaged from abuse.
(i.e drop your keys on the hood of your car and it would be ok. Drag the tip of your key down the side of your car and not so well…)

What can Hydrographics be applied to?2022-03-20T21:23:58+00:00

General rule is “if it can get painted and be submerged in water then it can get hydrographics”.

Metal, plastics, glass, even wood. However, wood is susceptible to expansion and contraction when introduced to water, if it is properly sealed and prepped it can receive hydrographics.
Items such as rubber or silicone, paint will not adhere to and can not be hydro coated.
